Dermal filler treatment involves injecting hyaluronic acid (HA) into the face to restore volume loss, smooth lines, create lift, hydration and to enhance features. We use premium fillers. 

After Care

  • No make up for 4 hours 

  • No exercise for 48 hours 

  • No alcohol for 24 hours 

  • No hot water on the face for 24 hours 

  • No rubbing or scrubbing the area 

  • No facials or face down massages for up to 2 weeks 

  • Sleep on your back, if possible, on the evening of treatment 

  • No travel for 2 weeks 

FAQ

  • Pregnant, breast feeding, active infection on treatment site, neuromuscular disorder. Allergic to medication. Auto immune condition, recent vaccination, travel within 2 weeks, dental procedure within 2 weeks.

  • Immediately, however swelling will also be present after treatment. It can take up to 2 week to see final results without swelling.

  • Depending on what product is used. Dermal fillers can last up to 12-24 months.

  • It can be uncomfortable. However we have topical lignocaine to assist with numbing the area. Every dermal filler we use contains 0.3% lignocaine, which is a local anaesthetic. We also have other distraction strategies such as vibrating massage bar and squeeze ball.

  • Yes! Dermal filler is made up of hyaluronic acid. The body will naturally break this down over time however it can also be reversed with a drug called hyaluronidase.

  • Swelling, redness, bruising, bleeding, pain, headache.

  • Vascular occlusion, allergic reaction, blindness (I in 100 000).

  • Is when dermal filler is administered into a blood vessel. This occludes the vessel which causes an obstruction to blood flow. If this occurs hyaluronidase must be administered immediately to dissolve the filler and therefore the obstruction.

  • It is essential that you follow the aftercare to avoid unwanted side effects. HA is administered precisely into particular areas to give your desired aesthetic results. By exercising, laying down, rubbing your face, having a hot spa/ sauna, the HA can move into an undesired area. Wearing make up after treatment can increase the risk of infection.

  • All new clients have a follow up appointment at 2 weeks. This is to ensure you are completely happy with your results. We can also adjust your treatment and add more filler if necessary.
